The Society of Flight Test Engineers 



  Dr. Ferrie joined Bell Helicopter in 1998 and has held several technical and leadership positions of increasing responsibility within the Engineering function, most recently as vice president, Xworx and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation where she led the team to make dramatic improvements in advanced research and development efforts.  Among those, Cathy was responsible for leading the team in development efforts for the OH-58 and 407 armed aircraft demonstrators, next generation rotor blade and hub technologies as well as advanced materials and analytical tool development.
  Cathy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University, as well as a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is widely respected across the aerospace industry.  She is the Southwest Region Director-at-Large for the American Helicopter Society and sits on the NASA Aeronautics Roundtable.
